Shepperton Back weir re'development

This is is a move that has been on the card's for a long time now. The EA (Environment Agency) have had a proposal for a good few year now to re' develop the old back weir at Shepperton. The idea is to make the old site more suitable for Kayaing. I guess time will tell what the EA will produce, but fingers crossed for some more new weir action. Not a lot to see at the moment :)

Darr world!

Regular visitors to the shop may have noticed lately that one of our most esteemed members of staff has gone traveling. D & L have been off in NZ, below is the latest update.

Hey fellas

Lucy and I are very well and now in Auckland.

Since our last e-mail we have traveled back through the middle of the South Island to the west coast to Pancake Rocks and finally made it through to Abel Tasmin where Lucy and I hired 2 sea kayaks and went off paddling for 3 days. It was fantastic to get back out on the water, especially as the water was the temperature as bath water!!! Just like Chertsey in the summer but with nice sandy beaches, seals and Orca whales.....

From there we drove onto Nelson which we quite liked but had to get on to start the Queen Charlotte Tramp the next day. The Queen Carlotte was a really good walk but long. You cover 80kms in three days!!!

Darr we are all very jealous off, Stay safe, happy travels,

Summer squirt!

Over the past 5 day the Thames has gone from a high winter level to a average summer level!. Three Valleys are pumping water out of the river and into every hole in the ground they can find at an alarming rate. But hay hoe guess we all need to drink this summer. So with the water low there was only one spot to go. Dust down your squirt boats the Summer at Chertsey has begun. Mr Breedon was absent, however being a world away in Auckland (sea paddling the luck Weena) I guess we will have to let him off..... Hello Dude......

Hurley on 4 at 6

Me and Pete triped down to Hurley on saturday morning we got there at about sixish so it was nice and quite. It was a big four gates and we were giving it our all.
We took the camara down and Pete got this awesome picture. The loops were big and cartwheels plenty, it was a nice retentive level so even if you mesed up you retained in the hole.
